One thing that has been proven true - Cohen always has a reason for what he does. He won't tell you, but there's always some statistical crap to back it up (or an unseen injury).

For whatever reason, all these coaches now think they have to be some glasses-wearing, pullover-sporting clipboard-toting cerebral douche who only use statistics. The problem is, they don't realize how to truly implement stats, because they are supposed to be hard-nosed baseball coaches, not mathematics professors with PHDs.

My motto: stats never lie, but they never tell the whole truth. They must be implemented with a huge degree of common sense. Not to mention they are worthless until halfway through the season, and even then in college they are largely variable. It's not hard to see who the hot/cold players are.

Just my $0.02 on a pet peeve.
