No, Marrero striking out looking killed the momentum. The bunt call had nothing to do with anything, and it was a good spot to make that call. He bunted one foul and then missed trying to bunt one way out of the zone. But then, he battled back to 2-2. Once he got to 2-2 what happened before was irrelevant. The bunt decision didn't put him in a situation he couldn't get out of. At some point you have to blame the player for not executing, and that's what happened.

No, Marrero striking out looking killed the momentum. The bunt call had nothing to do with anything, and it was a good spot to make that call. He bunted one foul and then missed trying to bunt one way out of the zone. But then, he battled back to 2-2. Once he got to 2-2 what happened before was irrelevant. The bunt decision didn't put him in a situation he couldn't get out of. At some point you have to blame the player for not executing, and that's what happened.
