It's raining this weekend so no plans for me. Plus I'm working on a 10 day cleanse. Not a fun weekend for me...

Just starting the grill now for some country style ribs. Two items to get this going:

1. I was so jealous of Brunswick's vintage MSU drinking glass, I went on a hunt and found one. It really is a perfect whiskey glass.

2. Anyone laid hands on the new Weber yet? http://www.weber.com/weber-nation/blog/the-summit-charcoal-grill-it-has-finally-arrived

Pricey, but I am a Weber man....

Raining here too Beast. So, I went whole hog and did Chinese take out. We have a great soul food/Chinese place in the 'hood about a mile from the house. Cheap and great.

Sapper - glad I could inspire whiskey drinking greatness. I have 4 of those glasses. A good friend gave them to me after her Dad passed. He played on one of Babe's late '50s teams. I ended up with another cool glass, and a heavy brass Bulldog paperweight. It has me looking for other vintage stuff like that all the time. Goes well with my "walking bulldog" flag that hangs in our office.

Grilled a couple ribeyes and squash, sauted mushrooms and green onions, and twice baked potatoes for me and the fianc?. As soon as we ate I said damn should have taken a pic to show this off.

Packing for a much needed vacation and eating leftovers. I hadn't planned on any drinking, but bulldog baseball lead me to a couple Lagunitas Undercovers. Y'all have me jealous with the old school MSU whiskey glasses. May have to do some searching for myself.

Love those glasses and the logo. Y'all find those on the Internet?

I need to know this as well.
It's overcast and dreary here so I don't feel like doing much of anything. Going to have filets, squash an sweet potatoe fries for dinner. Always do filets the weekend I leave for work.

I did. Got lucky and found it scrubbing eBay. I am thinking we could probably do a run of these for the Outdoor Dawgs if we could find a glass printer and the logos.

I would love a set of these as well. May have to start looking myself.

This is the other glass and the brass paperweight I mentioned. I call this logo the "zombie walking dog" because of the dark eyes.

Here's a sample of my cleanse.... Spinach, kale, banana, pineapple, mango, and flaxseed. (Gotta be a C&D thread first ever lol)

To somewhat redeem myself here is a pan of bread pudding I cooked for someone else today pre-saucing

Beast, I'm pretty sure that is the worst meal you have ever posted. More power to you brother, but I could never drink that.

Here's a sample of my cleanse....

I think I can make this much easier for you:

1. Go to the Pheoba One Stop. Get a link sausage biscuit. (Substitute any greasy country store if not in Starkville area)
2. Drink one cup coffee.
3. Have one dip of Copenhagen.
4. Wait 10 mins and you will be cleansed.

Haha. I did one with my wife a while back and it's not that bad. My goal is to do 3-4 a year. It's 10 days and all you can have is 3 shakes and snacks like raw almonds, carrots, celery, and boiled eggs. It's supposed to be really great for liver, kidneys, and gut. Also a nice byproduct is dropping some lbs. I guess since I'm now in my 30s I'm trying to do a few crazy healthy things to balance the crazy unhealthy things I did in my early 20s lol.

Since I am on kiddo duty this weekend, can't really spend much time at the grill, so I ogle them on the net instead. Just ran across this, and while it is too expensive right now, this would be a great addition to the grill collection:

I'm in Luxembourg City for a few days and thought I'd share a few of the Luxembourgish beers that I've had. None of them are great, but I've had much worse in other places. The best one is definitely the Diekirch. Also, this a very underrated place for tourism.

There's also a 2 week festival going on near the hotel with some great food. The gyros are top notch.

I have actually spent a good bit of time in Korea - Seoul and Jeju Island. Where will you be for your trip? I had some great meals there and some not so great. Their beers are very sub par, but pouring soju in it will quickly make you forget. They sell Cass light in 2 liter plastic bottles. The Korean bbq places are a great time and not bad. Jeju island is known for a certain type of pork. I didnt think it was any different, but they made a big deal out of it and paid a fortune, so I played along. There's also the raw, shaved horse....Kimchee is not my thing, but you may like it. One of the best meals I have ever had was actually there and involved cow heart over a bbq. They also have amazing street food. I hope to make it back over there soon.

Looks like the Youngsan district in Seoul. Good thing is that I should have some time to travel around.
