On ESPNU. Sooooo they just had some douche on there talking about how Florida is the number one team in the country and while they were talking they showed clips of our batters striking out and the home run in the 9th inning of game 3. Never once were we mentioned nor did they disclose they we went in and took the series on their ****ing field. No matter what sport it is we are disrespected

Good. Make them take it. This team plays best when Hungary. Gotta stay hungry.

If we beat A&M and LSU as in win those series- ESPN will be forced to give us respect. Just like when we beat LSU, A&M, and Auburn in a row in football in 2014.

We're already getting it from some of the major college baseball outlets.

Totally agree. However, the difference between us beating Florida, Vandy, A&M, and LSU, compared to those football victories, is these teams are legitimate powerhouses that will still be top 5/10/15 teams by seasons end. Teams, some of which, we will end up playing in Omaha (hopefully, lol).

That Florida series was so ****ing huge. I really want to go 4-2 these next two weekends.

That is true- plus in football the only team we beat on the road was LSU. The baseball team has beaten Vandy and Florida on the road.

Damn ESPN is trash. Idiots don't even realize MSU has more fans watching that shit than UF does too.

Espn views MSU just like the news media views the state of Mississippi. Unfavorably, to say the least, and this is nothing new. But people are stupid, and the media is stupid, even worse..they're ignorant.

Espn is mostly a collection of old fart yankees, sprinkled over a bunch of dumb millenials with mics, that assume we are a joke of a school because we're in the "poorest",dumbest", and worst" state, and our athletic program shouldn't be represented in the SEC. They're a bunch of misguided trolls doing their material based on false narratives and political correctness. That includes the art of omission, which is totally contrived. You see this almost every time one of our men's sporting events is aired on TV.

We can't change that by just winning a bunch of games, we have to win more than anybody to get equal respect.

That's right, and it's an uphill battle. Part of it is our 'cow college' image, and when you're a 'cow college' in Mississippi you're climbing a mountain instead of a mere hill from an outside perspective. For whatever reason, OM seems to be seen as a little more sophisticated.

Lets sweep those f****** Aggies. That will get some respect. We need to take it one series at a time and before you know it we will have a chance to win the SEC outright with some help on the east beating South Carolina cause they will slip up eventually

USCe's schedule gets tougher with UF, UK and A&M still to play. We just need to get by A&M and LSU. I like where we are.

Also if you look at USC's schedule, the only tough SEC teams they have played are Vandy (lost 2) and the Douchebags up north (which I was happy to see they swept).

Outside of conference they have played Clemson and they lost 2. So I'm not overly impressed with USC this year. I actually would have liked to have them on our schedule.

Zero clue that we've got a bigger baseball following than anyone.

I logged into SECSports.com baseball a couple of hours after our Sunday game thinking there was noway they would not headline #1 vs. #5. Wrong! They listed our score (at the bottom of the box scores) and made no mention of our game. Four other SEC games were recapped and headlined but not State's game even with it being a national impact game played against their darling Florida Gators. Our game was not a late game so that cannot be the excuse. Maybe SECSports.com is staffed by ex-CL writers.
