What are the odds?

puncher's chance. I feel good about it because we've been SO bad on sundays it'll eventually even out but nothing would surprise me either way tomorrow.

goal for the day - THROW STRIKES.

Yes. Tomorrow's mantra is throw strikes. Hope we see that in action.

I think Pilkington is the best hope here. Did Puk have a back issue after his last outing?

had back spasms or some shit during last start. I'm sure he's 100% vs us, just how shit goes

I think it will be a different mind set and a competitive game. I think we have proven that we are deserving of being a top 10 team. We destroyed their ace tonight. If we win tomorrow, would be a huge boost to our confidence. Our biggest Achilles heel that I see so far is our tendency to commit errors especially on the left side of the infield. We were lucky tonight that they didn't capitalize. Otherwise, decently acceptable weekend as it stands now.

As talented as puk is, he's probably underperforming and he's a lefty... I think our bats will come to play today, but I've just got no confidence in what's left of our pitching staff. If we're gonna be a team that gets to Omaha, we've got to get more out of guys that'll be taking the mound today... Hopefully a couple rise up on the big stage today

Totally prepared for a loss, but have a weird feeling we get the win

A couple of these freshmen are about to get rolling on the hill IMO...

I'd like to see a fresh approach to our Sunday pitching. Brown obviously isn't the answer, so it essentially needs to be freshmen and maybe Houston at some point. Experience like this could accelerate the learning curve, and someone is going to step up. It's not like we are conceding anything. We just don't have better options, so we need to go with who has the most potential.

The freshmen pitching well would be great. My hope is that Houston gets his season turned around today. He pitched well down the stretch last year and his k numbers are good... Just got to quit walking batters

Anything can happen in baseball. That being said my expectation is that we get blasted today.

We're averaging 6 runs in game 3's this year (OR, Vandy, UGA, OM), and giving up 8.25 runs in those games.

Limit walks and rely on D we have a shot

We need to light him up offensively. Run him out of the game early. We are not going to win with pitching. We are going to win by playing really good defense behind the pitcher and knocking the shit out of the ball when we are at bat.

New starter today though, so maybe those stats are worthless

Hopefully Pilkington can go three. It's almost as if Florida hitters go up there their first at bat with a leadoff batter mindset. Hudson and sexton both were crusing till their second time through.

I wanna see

Pilkington 3
Brown 2
Smith 1
Breaux 1
Houston 1
Humpreys 1

Low odds. You sheep need to pump the brakes.

Biggest thing to me is seeing if somebody, whoever it is, will go out and throw strikes.

Uh how is a freshman underperforming? He's been a bright spot. For a class that had Small, Breaux, Fenter, Parker Ford, etc. no one knew about Pilk. He has performered to a high standard. Now let's go win this dang game because we can do it.

We have more pro/elite level hitters than we realize. We can produce runs against anybody, I think.

"well" is relative in that case... He just doesn't have the it factor for late in games IMO. If we are going to pitch him, let's start him.

Puk is not starting today. Still dealing with back spasms.
