It's a "yeah, but" ranking but it still caught me as funny and ironic as hell. Guess we know why they got players five fingering charcoal now. Just trying to stay warm in their van down by the river.

Its because the majority of their disposable income gets redistributed to only 85 people.

I didn't even know that University was considered a "city". And the data really are misleading considering, as the writer said, that almost all residents are college students that are unemployed and have no income. Couldn't the same be said about Mississippi State, Mississippi?

I hear that University isn't quite a beautiful anymore since the revelation that some of the southern belles are fictional characters made up in the minds of perverted old men obsessed with OM recruiting.

I lived in Oxford for 3 years. There are some very, shanty-town-resembling areas in Oxford-proper. They're small, spread out, and usually a block away from million dollar homes, but if you drive around the whole city, you'll see.

I lived there for 2 years. The square is fun. The rest of the town is just like any other small, southern town in MS minus the university. Nice area of town, one left or right turn later, "roll the windows up kids".

I also like the trailer park by Baptist hospital (east Oxford), and then another one kind of northwest of campus.
