Bummer. Heard that on the radio at lunch. Enjoyed seeing Merle and Willie play together several times in recent years, especially at Willie's 4th of July picnic last year. Merle was the true triple threat - great songwriter, guitarist and country singer. There won't be another like that.

Hate to hear that. I saw him play at the motorcycle rally in Sturgis a few years ago.

As the Eric Church song says, time to raise our glasses of cold, cold beer and pledge allegiance to to the Hag!

Still get chills every time I hear "Are the good times really over..."

The Hag could really put things into perspective.

Me too man. The first time I ever heard the song was in a bar on 6th street in Austin, and that's just about the best possible place to hear that song for the first time.
