It's early but as of today, you have to say Cohen is leading or near the top for being Coach Of The Year in Sec.

Man hope it happens, what a great start huh?

Hudson is 1st team Sec as of today. Have a few freshman who will or may be in running for freshman of the year.

Remember, I said it's early before bashing my thoughts.

It is early but this team is competitive and fun to watch. The young ones are only gonna get better. They're starting to really gel! Excited for the future!

Seems like the switch turned on for Hump. Need to get Collins going as well as Kruger.

Wes Johnson will only make our staff better, what a great hire!

He's killing it. He makes me scratch my head at times but our kids are competing with each other while kicking the crap out of everyone else. You can't hate that. If we get the Sunday/pen situation ironed out we may start seeing the Dawgs mentioned for a national seed. Vying for a Super at the Dude would be ok with me.

Been a while since we had had back to back complete games. Throwing consistent strikes.

Lets win the SEC! We need something to brag about, it's been awhile! And then let's win the whole damn thing.

I think 1989 last Sec Championship.

It's early, we are starting to look like a strong contender!

Sunday pitching will be the key. Our Fr-Sat guys are going to give us a good chance most weekends- got to get some quality Sunday innings out of some guys

I think the fire Cohen crowd waited a bit too late, gonna be hard to do now.

Don't worry...they will be back after the first series loss.

Nahhhh- he's safe for next year. I don't see this team collapsing. He answered the bell when he had to. Now we get to see if Strick can get those donations back so we can break ground at the end of the season. Last I heard it was 50/50

Next weekend's series looms EXTREMELY large in who will have control on winning the SEC.

Have we been bunting much less these days in non bunt situations?

Florida right now may have the edge on the SEC, but I think we may be the best in the West. It's early and we are gaining confidence every week, things are looking good.

Going to be phased in. Won't need to get funding for the lofts for a while. They can't do everything else first.

We've got plenty of series left before we can start looking to win the SEC. Especially the next 2 weekends, I dont see any other teams that look as strong as we do right now except South Carolina and Florida. Vandy winning the series vs SC is huge for them that was a hell of a series win against those guys, they never lose 2 of 3 at home

I'll take a West title at this point. It's not as good as an overall- but we haven't won many of them and it would guarantee us a solid hosting spot

In terms of West titles, "We haven't won many of them" is an understatement. We've never won one, so its pretty hard to downplay it if we pull it out.

Combined numbers for Hudson and Sexton since the start of the Oregon series:

8 GS
57.2 IP (>7 per GS)
7 ER (1.09 ERA)
19 BB (2.97 per 9)
66 K (10.3 per 9)

That is so good against the competition they've faced in that stretch. And they're getting better; what they did this week is just ridiculous. 18 IP, 8 H, 0 BB, 19 K.

There very well may not be a better duo in the country.
