This Southern Miss game tonight will help the cause in a huge way. They are 19-2, #13 Rpi, and have reeled off 8 straight wins. Winning tonight could go a long way in hosting and could help erase the other midweek blunders

Southern is actually 19-6 overall, but nonetheless, still a huge game.

They're Definitely not 19-2.

That being said, we will have to score some runs to win tonight. I'm thinking it will take 7+ runs to beat em.

The 6 games against 250+ RPI teams at home are doing more damage than the Eastern Kentucky and Oral Roberts losses.

But, this games is huge. We have to win away/neutral games to get our RPI back to a respectable level.

Speaking of tonight, any way to watch the game without driving to Pearl? I noticed it isn't listed as a SECN+ game on the schedule, which I assume means it won't be streamed via the SEC Network.

The guy they are starting is making his first career start and enters the game carrying a 4.26 ERA through 3 relief appearances this year. There is no excuse to not score 7 runs this game. With the fact of their starter being a RHP as well as the deepness of Trustmark Park, I would be very surprised if we didn't see Mangum start at right instead of Rooker. Also wouldn't be surprised to see Humphries be the first reliever, which would move him to the pitcher position and free up space for another contact hitting lefty Cody Brown move into left field.

I think we will see something like
1. Robson CF
2. Mangum RF
3. Lowe 1B
4. Collins 3B
5. Kruger DH
6. Humphries LF
7. Merrero C
8. Gridley SS
9. Holland 2B

MSU radio broadcast is the best you will do. The Jackson games never have any streaming video which royally sucks.

May be able to find someone in the crowd doing a Periscope feed. I know Bart Gregory did that out west for a few of those games, but I think I saw him say on Twitter that he would be able to tonight because he wouldn't be there.

They are 19-6. Lost twice to USA, 1 to SELA, Samford, Marshall, and Tulane. They did beat Alabama 9-2 and Auburn 3-1 earlier this year.
