I'm severely disappointed with Wes Johnson so far. Sexton and Hudson started their rise last year and this summer... Johnson had nothing to do with them being good this year imo. They were gonna be good no matter the pitching coach. Houston, Daniel brown, and Tatum should be much, much better this year. Right now, we have 3 pitchers (Hudson, sexton, and rigby) on a staff loaded with talent. If it isn't on Johnson, who?

I'm severely disappointed with Wes Johnson so far. Sexton and Hudson started their rise last year and this summer... Johnson had nothing to do with them being good this year imo. They were gonna be good no matter the pitching coach. Houston, Daniel brown, and Tatum should be much, much better this year. Right now, we have 3 pitchers (Hudson, sexton, and rigby) on a staff loaded with talent. If it isn't on Johnson, who?

I think it's our approach from the whole team on the third game after taking the first two. We already have the series so we don't come out with the same fire as we had the first two games. We had a chance to break this game wide open early but we didn't. We play close until predictably our bullpen gets blown out for 3-4 runs late. We never put UGA away and so we paid for it. We will never sweep anyone with the attitude our players have shown both weekends. We desperately needed this win to keep pace considering the three next weekends we have. We needed this win in the worst way but you would never tell it with the effort our players played with today.

I don't think it's the pitching staff as much as it is our team saying we got the series. I don't think we play like this if this is a rubber game.

It's called not playing your best because you have already won the series. This team isn't sweeping anyone unless we play with effort every game. The pitchers UGA pitched today gave up 14 runs last weekend to UK. I think we will be okay in the long run IF Cohen can get it through their skull to play with effort every game.

I'll give Johnson the benefit of the doubt at least until next year. He came in extraordinarily late due to Butch leaving for Auburn after fall camp, and didn't really have much time with the current staff until right before the season started. I don't think you can lay any credit or blame to him just yet, but there's no question that our staff as a whole has been pretty disappointing.

Houston has never ever done anything to warrant the hype other than he can run his fastball up to 98. He has never had it between his ears. I'm disappointed in Tatum and Brown, because I know they're better than what they have shown lately.

You asked about other pitchers? Blake Smith, Pilk, Breaux, Small, and Hump.

Also, John Holland/Grid should be the MIFs with Stovall off the bench. Mangum should take the RF spot, because Rooker hasn't earned his PT. funny y'all bash Hump who has actually produced lately but haven't said a word about Rooker who has struggled this year.

Coaches didn't quit ...They Ran a kid out there that throws 94+ to get 3 outs.. And he couldn't do it..
If u can't get 3 outs with a 8-5 deficit with basically no pressure on you it shows what kind of competitor you are..
Houston a competitor he is not...
Like I said with the arm he has , there is ZERO reasons he shouldn't be a big part of our rotation..
