Does anyone know anything about the newly promoted strength and conditioning coach? Does he drink motor oil, breathe fire, or chew nails? We need to toughen up in a major way.

Wanting to play wr?

He says "anyone needing a DB or WR?"....

We don't need that kind of drama. If he wants to go, then go...but don't throw threats out there unless you're ready to actually leave. If I was Mullen, I'd have a talk that ended with him shutting his mouth & working hard....OR transferring right away. Don't want guys that want to pout affecting the chemistry of the team IMO.

I agree. If he wants out, go. Let's start monitoring the FA (grad transfer) line for a CB

He's definitely not a country club guy. He was promoted because of his relationship with the team. He's responsible for the Leo's transformation.

It's all about discipline and aggression with Graham. If he can lock those two aspects down, then he may have a decent shot this year.

If smokey can't crack our 2deep at CB and is going to be a issue in the locker room might be better if he does look elsewhere..

I don't blame him for being disappointed. I'm sure it's tough to start as a punt returner your true freshman year, get benched, and then not even having a clear path to playing time by your junior year. Still can't say stuff like that publicly.

Yeah he already worked with the former S&C coach. He just got promoted up to take his spot after his departure. He's not new to the program. The guy's love him.

It'll take time to get used to a whole new defensive staff. If they're not all speaking the same language then something's gotta give.

Mark it down, Leo will be an absolute freak of nature this year- book it. And as for smokey; I agree with everyone else - to me he has the potential to be a great player but there's no place here with that attitude. Either get it fixed or bye.

The truth is that Jamoral actually isn't very good. But Jameon Lewis, Blaine Clausell, and many others weren't very good early in their career either. But they worked, shut their mouth, and developed into very good college players. I hope Jamoral does the same.

From all the practice notes I've seen, either we have a monster defense, or we still don't have an OL... I'm thinking a little of both. And for all the 3-4 fans out there, the majority of the looks were 3-4. Nick James practically lived in the backfield yesterday, according to reports...

Leo will start this year (not sure if it'll be day 1, but he'll definitely start). Also, Peters will be up on the line a lot this year at OLB.... he's ready to hit people.

Yep- Peters is alot like Conner at OM. They want to be close to the LOS and play a hybrid SS/run stopper kind of game.

No- your inside LB's are real big- like Leo and Green- your outside guys have to be smaller and can run because of Spread offenses. I would have Leo and Green at ILB- with Brown and Gray at OLB

It just depends on the DC and what he's trying to accomplish. Bama uses a combination of both. In the NFL it's usually bigger guys that can do both.

Please don't let this be one of the things we go all ape shit about all spring and fall practice...
We will. Be running so many different formations and looks it's not not going to matter who's name is announced on the Jumbotron before the game..
As long as the best players see the most snaps... And Sirmon will be doing this..

Wasn't calling you out... Just making a point that when the depth chart comes out and IF it doesn't have both Green and Leo "starting" and Peters / McCalurin 2nd string let's all just chill...

Would you want him to stay there if he's more built for another position?

I believe Simmons' body will make him a 3/4 DE and 4/3 DT. Most high level DE, have the longer leaner body type. Simmons is more blocky

Jeffery is 298lbs. He's a perfect 3-4 DE but when we go to a 4-3 he'll be a DT.
