The biggest reason I'm pointing this out is because this is the second midweek game in a row he had started. The biggest thing I want Cohen to do is find a consistent midweek guy and that might be Pilkington. I might be reading way too much into it because we're going to use a lot of guys no matter what- but it's something to watch if he starts next week against USM.

I just hate playing these SWAC games at all knowing they are going to hurt us.

Valley is horrible. We could probably start the bat girl at pitching.

I thought Pilkington looked solid last week. We should have left him in the damn game. Hopefully the coaches will let the guy pitch if he gets it going tonight. Would be great to have a night where we only used an arm or two. I could see Pilkington getting a chance at a Sunday start if he has a good outing tonight and Vs USM next week. Especially if Daniel Brown continues to struggle, which I think he will. I just don't see what the coaches see in Brown....he may look a little bit like Lindgren, but the stuff is nowhere near comparable IMO. I just don't think he is SEC starter quality. Seems like a good kid, & it's not his fault that they keep putting him out there. At least he isn't walking everybody like he did last year though.

I think brown is best served as a lh reliever. Last weekend we only used breaux as lefty when the games were contested.

We win it won't hurt us. Look at Ole Miss's RPI- and they played a weekend series against one.

I agree at least in all likelihood. If Brown happens to do well Saturday, he's probably a good home bad road pitcher. If he does poorly he's probably a good practice pitcher.

They have won 4 games. I don't think it matters who we throw

After we lost to Pine Bluff, I'm not going to get cocky.

Man, this is a spot on statement if there ever was one. Don't ever get cocky in baseball or someone will shove it up your butt.
