What should MSU baseball be ranked following this week?

Obviously, this could fluctuate slightly by what happens tomorrow, but the point remains, WHAT A CONUNDRUM......

Do pollsters say, " Well they lost to two horrible teams at home. Therefore they should be ranked in the 20s"

Or do they say, "They have the best wins of any team in America & should obviously be a top 10 team"

Honestly, IMO who you beat more clearly indicates how good you are than who you lose to. Any team can lose to someone due to lack of focus or youth, but only certain caliber of teams can get the wins we are getting & that is more indicative of the ceiling of a team.

If I were a pollster, I'd probably rank MSU 12th or so after this weekend. I'd be confused that they lost to 2 bad teams at home, but realize it's hard to deny their quality of wins.

My thoughts exactly. Split the difference/call it a wash and leave us around 15. Legit Top 10 teams don't lose to got damn Eastern Kentucky, but shitty teams don't take 2/3 from Vandy at Vandy.

Most pollsters understand that power conference teams do not pitch their front line pitchers in midweek games so I would think the Vandy wins would carry more weight than the midweek losses. Still no excuses for losing to those lower level teams though at home no matter who pitched and our pitching obviously wasn't the issue against ORU.
