What did they do to our RPI? Remember this when host sites are selected.

MSU compared to BYU.

We have played a stronger schedule, yet we are 35 spots lower than them because we have 4 more losses, two of which fall under the 101-200 category. Those two losses....last weeks midweek games.

Forgot to add...

Both teams have played 3 games so far this past week.

We have dropped 21 spots; BYU has risen 8 spots.

We went 1-2 to teams with RPI's of 176, 114 and 32.
They went 3-0 to teams with RPI's of 162, 253 and 253.

RPI is calculated by more than just wins and losses, and even though we have a SOS 57 spots higher, going 1-2 instead of 3-0 caused us to drop 21 spots.

Midweek games matter! Always have, always will. It's one thing to lose out on hosting by losing SEC games, but when we lose out on hosting because of losses to teams with RPI's of 176 and 114, that pisses me off.

Bad home losses hurt your RPI more than good road wins help it.

All we can do at this point is keep on winning and leave those games in the dust. Just win baby win! The rest will work itself out. If not then oh well just keep winning.

Those 2 midweek losses eliminated any hosting chance without winning like 19 to 20 SEC games which is nearly impossible with our schedule.

Winning the series vs Vandy puts us back where we should be IMO. The 3rd Oregon W covered one of the FAU losses, and a second Vandy win would negate EKY. ORU wasn't that big a deal to me, it's expected to lose a few midweek games, esp when you play 8 games in 10 days.

Our rpi is 24 right now according to Warren Nolan. We still play Ole Miss, Florida, Arkansas, TAMU, LSU. Our SOS will be top ten and if we win our rpi will be top 10. Enjoy the season.

THIS! With the schedule we play we have plenty of chance to raise that rpi. We have one of the toughest schedules in the country. Wnning wil take care of rpi. Don't win and none of it matters anyway.
