Weekend Cooking & Drinking Thread

Heading down to the coast after work. Going to attempt to fish if the weather let's me. Have to do some furniture moving at the place regardless.

Some burgers and Evan Williams tonight at my parents for basketball tonight. Got a butt for tomorrow.

I just got down to the coast. I had a loooong Friday, left metro a little before 10, drove 3 hours in a torrential downpour to potentially fish this weekend. Whole time I'm contemplating why I'm so crazy. Regardless, I had stuff to do so it'll be productive anyway.

Went out in the yak from 10-1230 and caught 2 fish. 1 rat and 1 25 inch. Also had a monster nutria swim out in front of me. Had to be 40lbs. Blow up that 2nd pic. That's him pushing that wake.

Dang Beast nice catch. I was going hit the marsh today, but when Dad took the boat to the marina yesterday the steering failed. He was lucky to be about 100 yards from the marina and finessed it back in.

Grilling some turkey breast from Friday mornings hunt. Wrapped the breast with bacon and put them on shish kabob sticks with mushrooms and red and yellow bell peppers. Should be great.

After shopping, cleaning, bill paying and other chores - I decided to end the weekend right with a couple of porterhouse and grilled asparagus.
