I wouldn't classify that as "serious," but it does explain the confusion. There's been a lot of back and forth over whether it was PJ Jones or Chris Jones that got popped. I guess it was both. Fantastic.

Is driving with a suspended license really STUPID SHIT? I mean it'd be better to not do that, but I could have done it before. Had a speeding ticket that a cop didn't turn in for a while. Called and checked for a few weeks to try and find out my fine, and then it slipped my mind. When I finally remembered, it had been a while. Not sure my license suspended, but it was long enough that if I had been pulled over before I remembered to call back, it probably would have caused me some problems.

This isn't that big of a deal & will have 0 impact on his draft status. I've had a ticket that I forgot to pay & my license was suspended & I didn't even know it. I was pulled over for not signaling on a turn & the officer let me know that my license was suspended. He told me I need to take care of it ASAP, wrote my new ticket, & told me to take care of both immediately. I wasn't arrested.

There's plenty that's dumber than this but most of the time when a cop is willing to fill out an arrest report over driving with a suspended license its because it's been suspended for a while and the driver has just neglected to take care of it. Then again, given SPD's red rocket for football players right now I guess we can't safely assume that's the situation here.
