They probably made our pitching staff look better than they are although even they took Tatum deep a couple of times and granted they faced the best and most experienced pitchers we have. Right now I believe we have a pretty good offensive team with above average starters and that is about it. Our bullpen is not dependable and our defense is suspect at certain positions. Our baserunning is also a constant cluster.

Sounds like you see it pretty much as I do. Bullpen is killing us right now for sure. Not sure I quite understand that. Saw another post where someone mentioned backing off velocity for control. I thought the other day when Hudson struggled with finding the zone some that he was over throwing, but I'm not a pitching coach.

My philosophy about pitching tho is the same as for real estate ... location, location, location. That and changing speeds effectively.
