He was our beat writer in the late 90's and maybe 2000. His wife, I believe, went to MSU. I'm pretty sure there is a photo of his children behind him in MSU jerseys. I know I've seen it before while watching NFL Network.

Your sense of timing is juuuuuuuuuuuust a bit off. Sekou was our beat writer in the late 90s, thus the irrational lovefest so many of our fans have for him. Rap was the beat writer for the latter part of the Croom Error, just prior to Veazey, if my memory is correct.

You are correct. I should have remembered Sekou covering the 1998 SEC West Champions. I still have his article he wrote for the CL's coverage in Atlanta.
