Ole Miss defensive tackle Breeland Speaks was arrested early Friday for DWI-first offense, @RebelGrove has confirmed.

Just a DWI, but doesn't this seem to happen for every player that plays for them?

I'm sure there were others there but nobody else would take the fall.

Well played. I'm a little surprised that OM would bring attention to it. Not like them to acknowledge something like this.

"What kind of program is Freeze running down there?"

This is the question we keep coming back to over and over again. We've been saying it here for years, but now the media is starting to finally catch on, too. Why any parent would want their child to attend OM is beyond me. This is the first of many more to come this year, I guarantee you that.

I'm sure DWI is just a new acronym for "protecting his mother"....

not surprising that a kid in college would get a dui...fwiw, this will never go on the kids record as it is a first offense and he will be eligible for non-adjudication, which will result in a dismissal. we have plenty of kids on our various teams that get them too. just surprised that this was made public

Not the kids fault. He was out admiring the beautiful campus while sipping a glass of water. Freeze walked by and the kid didn't realize the water had turned to wine.

I told y'all a couple weeks ago that he wanted and out was looking to transfer...now this happens. Really interesting timing. Wouldn't be surprised to see him leave the team soon and them spin it as "punishments".

Yes you did. And it becomes extremely interesting because OM NEVER lets this stuff leak out until months after

Saw Bucky's statement. Usual stuff. He spoke with him and this doesn't reflect the values of the team or school. Then this tidbit: He is sorry and willing to take whatever punishment is handed down.

DUI or DWI. Diff between two depends on whether blood alcohol is < or > than 0.08%. Jail time may also be different for the two with DWI being worse than DUI.

So much for rule 1 & 3 when a player is about to transfer. Now it's all about rule 4 and DWI wasn't the boundary. It was coming in office and asking for a transfer.

Rule 1 & 3? Rule 4? What rules are you talking about?
