So earlier today Alabama was defeated by LSU 58-49 to eliminate the Lady Tide from the SEC Tournament

On the other side of the Bracket, Vanderbilt and Ole Miss are currently playing to see who plays Georgia tomorrow in the second round. The Lady Rebels are getting absolutely handled by Vanderbilt. So it seems that there will be no Lady Egg Bowl in the SEC Tournament.

Vanderbilt defeats Ole Miss to advance and knock the Lady Rebels out of the SEC Tournament. Vanderbilt will play Georgia tomorrow evening to see who will face off against the Lady Dawgs on Friday.

Amazing that the UMiss lady Rebs aren't better than they all with all the cheating they have done over the past few years...

When the majority of 28 violations are yours admittedly by the university its just too crippling to overcome and be competitive.

Plus, they have a head coach that looks like Eddie Munster......

If the top 4 seeds win their first game will 1 play 4 and 2 play 3? Or would it be 1 play 3 and 2 play 4?

1 play 4, 2 play 3. We are on the opposite side of SC.

Were the Ladies a week ahead of the men last year or am I just not remembering this? Does the Women's NCAA start next weekend (10-13th) then?

The women's tournament is always a week before the men's because the women's season ends a week earlier. Everything is pushed up a week for women's.

The opposite Semifinal is set. Tomorrow, #1 South Carolina will face off against #5 Kentucky.

South Carolina had a bit of trouble with Auburn today. I briefly switched to SECN and they said SC only shot about 30%. So SC is beatable too.

Hope we come out hot tonight.

We might be better off facing Texas A&M tomorrow (if we get by Vandy) because Tennessee might have a bit of an ax to grind with us after losing during the regular season.

Tennessee is always dangerous. And they're even having a down year. They aren't in the Top 25 for the first time in forever.

Do we know tomorrow's game time yet (once again, hoping we can take care of Vandy)? I've got an 11:00 tee time I've got to get to. ;) Can always set the DVR.

Why is Dominique not playing? Don't think I've ever seen her out this long in a game. Is she hurt?

As soon as I ask the question, she's back in.

Good grief. If we could make a shot.... We would ahead by 20. ...and to think the ball is smaller. Therefore more room for error.

We win by 17. Picked it up a bit in the second half. Play Tennessee tomorrow at 6:30 on ESPNU.

Root for Kentucky tonight. Winning the SEC Tournament over anyone should make us host, and we're more likely to beat UK than SC. A win tonight gets us into the hosting conversation, but we're probably bubble out unless we win tomorrow too.

This is what our abysmal non-conference schedule does to us. 2nd in the SEC and runner-up in the SEC tournament (along with only 1 non-conference loss) still isn't enough just to be a 4-seed. I thought for sure we would have fixed it after not getting to host for the exact same reason last year, but we didn't.

Actually I think I'd rather play South Carolina. They've already secured the 1 seed. Not only RPI purposes but for match up, as well. We played them fairly close a month ago, where as Kentucky has had our number over the past couple of years. They beat us by 20 in the Hump a couple weeks ago. Regardless, I think we'll have our hands full tonight against Tenn. They have some athletes that are coming on strong and have girls that can shoot it. Plus, they'll have the crowd. We will have to play like we did in the 4th quarter last night to have a chance. We can't play we did in the first half of last night and keep it close.
