Well he did get a K for the 3rd out after walking the first batter. Still 3-0 heading to the bottom of the 6th.

Billingsley gives up a double and a single to make it 3-1 in the top of the 7th with no outs. Rigby coming in to pitch. Not quite sure what the staff sees in Billingsley personally.

B...b...but Todd, Engine, and the other baseball experts told us THIS was the year we'd finally see offensive improvement. There's no way the Hitting Guru wouldn't finally have us competitive at the plate. No more bunting in the third inning and playing to win 2-1.*********

I really like Rigby. Mike Smith looked good yesterday too. And I think the freshmen will get better with experience. Really want to see Paul Young again. He looked really good before taking a ball off the elbow. That guy can't catch a break.

I can't fathom how bad this offense will look when it faces really good pitching.

Do Cohen's hitting methods cause them to overthink? Not the bats anymore. Not the fences anymore. Not the ball anymore.

I'm not too optimistic about next weekend. And when SEC slate starts with that killer schedule, it's probably going to be real ugly.

Last week the pitching struggled so I guess this weekend it was the offense's turn to struggle. At least we've still won all 3 so far.
