FIFA has elected a new president today. The winner was the general secretary, Gianni Infantino (http://www.espnfc.us/blog/fifa/243/post/2815796/gianni-infantino-beats-sheikh-salman-for-fifa-presidency). For those who know more than I do, what's the consensus on him? I know the US was backing Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein.

I also noticed a package of reforms passed by a large margin, but I'm still not sure just what they're supposed to do. The article was long but still managed to be a bit vague on details.

I am uncertain on whether one candidate was better than the others because they are weighing the options of foreign lawyers and such. Here's what I like though: he's a Swiss lawyer and Swiss are generally trusted (disregard Sepp Blatter), he was apart of the UEFA which is a much better ran organization than Fifa, and everyone there seemed to embrace him and be happy with the election.

Look for the World Cup to expand to 40 teams.
