Meaning- run for a time that pro scouts can judge him on.

Can start "jogging" 3 months post op. Should be up to full straight line speed by 5 months if all goes well.

Maybe in 2005.... Nick Chubb is at a near full sprint already

Yeah, "near" full sprint and he is probably 4 months post-op since injury was October 10th and they probably waited 2 weeks to have surgery to let swelling decrease. So yeah around 5 months in the year 2016.

For reference Todd Gurley had surgery on November 24th and did not run at the combine. Redmond tore his on October 21st, so he probably had surgery beginning of November. Oh, and Nick Chubb didn't tear his ACL so not the greatest comparison, but rehab is pretty similar.

I'm not saying that Redmond even thinks about running at the combine, but advancements in the last few years have allowed these athletes to jump on a treadmill quicker. Dr. Cain and Dr. Dugas are working wonders at the Andrews Clinic as of late.

I never said that you were insuinating that, was just answering the original question and said that athletes normally aren't up to full speed until 5 months after ACL which you refuted and then brought up a player that didn't even have the same surgery. Dr. Cain and Dr. Dugas are great surgeons but arent working wonders that other competent ortho's don't also do. Research shows that acl healing occurs at a certain rate and Dr. Andrews will tell you that even he can't speed that up. Now proper positioning and length tensioning will prevent re-tear, but a repaired ACL doesn't look like a native acl until 1 year from surgery.
