View Full Version : Could Turner's departure signal Sirmon wants a 3-4?

Not even three weeks ago our recruiting class was saved by the signing of Jeffrey Simmons, a signing most everyone contributes to Turner. A signing most everyone thought OM had in the bag at the eleventh hour, but Turner pulled him through, giving many, including Dan a sigh of relief that something went our way in recruiting. I might be wrong but I don't think Turner left because he hated Dan. I think Dan has wisened up and put more value on recruiting with our coaching hires both on and off the field. What if Dan is letting Sirmon run what he wants, and Turner doesn't want to coach a 3-4?

I can only hope that if it's true he'll wisen up in his offensive personnel next.

I think it signals we lost a coach to the wealthiest school in the SEC.

We'd be pretty bad if we do. James is probably the only guy we have that could play ng

If he wants to play a 3-4 It will take at least 2 years to get the right guys on the D-Line. I don't worry about linebackers as much, cause I believe we have great athletes at the LB positions

I hope not. Now if we start recruiting for a 3-4 and make the switch in a couple years, sure.

Yeah I think LSU got the better end of the deal. And Auburn had offered their job to half the DC's in the country before Steele decided to take it. Diaz even turned them down for Miami.
