Does anyone think that the reason behind adding all these new people to the staff to help with recruiting came from Sirmon or Buckley? I wonder if they got here and saw how we were doing things and how they are done at other places and told Dan we needed to make some adjustments to keep up.

I've seen other people mention that Bama and other places have had people in positions like this for years. Was it Mullen finally deciding that he's here for the long haul and things have to improve or did the new guys come in and say this is how the big boys do it so we better step it up. Thoughts?

I think we all hope that Dan is doing things to improve recruiting and hopefully the new coaches are advising him on how things are done elsewhere.

I hope he adds another dime or two to help out Lee as well.

Don't know if it's to help Sirmon and Buck specifically, but it's no doubt to help recruiting. No matter what anyone tells you, Hughes leaving was big. Peterson et al will do a lot to fill that void.

Apologize in advance if this hijacks the thread....
These HS coaches coming in bring connections - and hopefully we are paying them well. What do HS FB coaches in MS make?? These guys look like cream of the crop HS Coaches. They could not have come cheap. Coaches salaries in GA are getting high - our coach at Glynn Academy makes $106k; Ware County's makes $122k; Probst at Colquitt (used to be big guy in Birmingham) is $130k. Highest paid is Simpson at Buford at $171k.
