Nothing too special so far. Huntsville Havoc hockey this afternoon, followed by buffalo chicken sandwiches. Because I have an awesome wife, we drank champagne with them.....Ruinart Blanc-de-blanc brute. If you like it dry, this is a good one.

Fird up the pressure cooker for a second run and canned up 12 pints of chicken soup, and four pints of chicken stock.

Nightcap: Wild Turkey 101. Been a LONG time since I had this one, but grabbed a pint on a business trip recently, as pretty much everything else was gone, and packed it back in my luggage. Really enjoying the vanilla, caramel flavor profile. This may make me go after the Russell's Reserve 6 and 10 year olds.

Awesome speck. You're definately raising him right. There's nothing in this world like taking your kids hunting or fishing and they get their first animal or first fish. Cherish those memories I know I have with mine they are growing way too fast .

Nice looking boil-up, Speck, and a great catch by your boy, as well.

Tonight, rather than going out, I decided to cook for the lady. I baked some fresh baguettes, made a scratch Caesar salad, and for the main did scratch fettuccine Alfredo.

We cooked rabbits that me and my oldest son killed Saturday. Put them in the pressure cooker for 3 hours to tenderize and when I opened the cooker the meat was falling off the bones. Fried the meat and made some gray, rice and biscuits to go along. One fine meal.

Speck - that is a proud day as a parent. I keep pics of my kids first catches from years ago on my phone. Can't beat the joy they have in that moment.

Tonight we put a twist on a Hawaiian surfer fav called a Loco Moco. The Loco Moco is a hamburger patty on a bed of sticky rice, smothered in brown gravy, topped with an over easy egg. I did patty on a bed of hash browns, smothered in white gravy and topped with the egg. It was a real stick to your ribs meal.
