I want to win. I really do, but I care more about Q and holman's development than wins at this point

This just in.....Sir Charles says Arkansas is turrible.

I find it hilarious that we are shredding their "40 minutes of hell."

Watching Aric develop under this coaching staff is a thing of beauty.

Arkansas is missing some point blank shots, but we are contesting everything on the perimeter. Hopefully this is a turning point for us defensively.

It begins and ends at the defensive end. By far the best defensive half all year. Great effort.

Gonna be one of our all time guys by the time he's done. If ray did anything for us, he got us Q

This is what Howland wants to do. Create offense off of defense. Play very intense in your face defense and we are finally getting the home calls. We need to keep this up and hopefully Newman will start hitting some shots. If he does, we could win this game by 30.

Howland would have easily gotten us Q. I'll give this recruit to Howland.

Sword and Ware have alwyas been likable guys in my book. It is good to see them win. It is even more enjoyable to see such talented freshmen performing well.

If Ready keeps improving like this, he will be a great edition at PG next year. With about 15-20 pounds, Holman would be a great stretch 4 for us. He was a 4 star and is improving every game he is in there.

What kills me is we beat UT and Alabama easily if we had gotten this type of call bump like we did tonight at home. And we possibly beat A&M as well. This is the type of officiating SEC home teams get for all games.

I think we finally have a good rotation. Holeman was great other than a few Freshman passes. IJ ran the half court with efficiency. He looked hesitant on quite a few opportunities to shoot, so I guess he must read ED. This is the best game,by far, we have played in the last 4-5 years. Hail State! Hail Howland!

Also forgot to mention that Spoon was Mortal Hell tonight. He is playing the 3 spot really well for us. I noticed a few games back that he has figured out this " rebounding thing".

That was a complete game tonight! The intensity, the body language, the ball movement it was all great! This is the first time I've seen a state team play real basketball in quite some time. Great win for the dogs!

For all the crap we've given ready, we're a much better team with him running the point than Malik.

I totally agree on this. Maybe when he knows everybody else is a scoring threat, he doesn't have to shoot so often. Then again, it may have been his back causing to hesitate shooting.

Lets hope he can play Sat in the Ga game.

I think that's because of Holman's development. Think we had to play him long stretches because AH wasn't ready.

I'm sure johnny is a great guy, I just don't see him as an sec talent. He's a one trick pony: shoots 3's. I haven't seen him rebound, his feet are stuck in mud.

I just think we are a better team with him on the end of the bench.

I recorded the game, watched the 1st half this morning since we had a snow delay.
Wow, total complete game. Looked intense on both ends, communicated well. And Malik was not our only scoring threat. Q is becoming our MVP for the year. He is one of the toughest freshman I have seen @ MSU in awhile. Reminds me of a non-arrogant Jamont Gordon.
Reading some of the comments on the sports boards, everyone is amazed that Arky could lose to "the worst team in the SEC". We are going to spoil a lot of teams plans these next couple of weeks.
Cannot wait to see what Howland can do with elite talent next season.
Go Dawgs!

Yep, nice tight 8 man rotation. No need to play any more than 8, ever.

IJ stepped out of the Gary Ervin mode He has been locked in. The biggest factor of the game is we played a get after their ass Man to Man. Ware says thank the Lord for Holman. And even Travis played better.

It'll be interesting if we stick with 8 next season...

Malik (doubtful)
Ready
Q
Holman
Stapleton
Carter
Herard
Ado
Peters
Kegler
Wright
Strugg

You can probably remove Strugg from that list. If Malik doesn't return, that's 10. I could see someone redshirting, maybe Carter to add strength. We will probably play 9 until it sorts itself out.

He has excellent touch and skill under the basket; just can't put it to use because he gets dominated by ever superior athleticism. If he were an SEC-caliber athlete then he'd be a future draft pick. Really unfortunate he's got almost nothing in that department.
