to plug in your roster, who would you take?

I wouldn't mind seeing Gabe Jackson in Crimson & White...

Saban is the right answer.

But for fun, let's assume we're talking players only. I'd go with your LT or your space eating DT. That's what's going to cause us the most issues this year.

Only one? I'd have to go with either Cyrus Kouandjio or Amari Cooper. I can't decide.

Kouandjio gives you a really good LT, but Cooper is a proven big play receiver, which is something we seem to be always looking for.

Yea, I was kidding about Saban(or maybe not). But I would want the Bama LT, or any top road grater on their line to put along side Gabe. And preferably one of their Sophs or Juniors so we could have him again next year!

Better pick a sophomore. Good bama players have 3 year careers

Amari Cooper, but only because we're OK in the trenches.

Amari Cooper or TJ Yeldon

He's much better than you think he is.

McCarron, for certain... we're deep everywhere else... behind him, I'd most want to keep CJ Mosely because he seems to understand the defensive scheme so well...

Cooper is great but we would be fine at WR without him... Losing Steen or Cyrus K would be bad, too....

Just for one year? Cooper.

The only other place we could really use some help and athleticism in a starting position is at Safety. Just take one of those big fuzzy dice your players have hanging off of their rearview mirror, put a Bama safety on each side of it, roll it, and send us whoever it lands on.

I, too, would go with T J Yeldon (hometown boy)....future Heisman winner.

I don't know how good he is, Smootness, but I do know this... If he were from Oregon, and his Dad didn't play for The Bahr, he likely would not have been offered....

I hope you're right about him... I was wrong about Vinnie Sunseri, too...

Didnt Steen basically beg croom for an offer, but we didnt give him one? I swore that's what i heard

I don't think Steen was highly recruited... he was a freak in the weight room and I think Saban liked that about him... he was one of our best OLmen last year, and the only one not to allow a sack... edit: he was a 3 star player with offers from Bammer, MSU, FSU, Miami and USM....

He also got blown up by Nick Fairley and caused McElroy to fumble. And damnit I was as big of a Bammer as anyone that day.

Fairley blew up many that year

TUSK

yep, that was painful to watch... Steen steps right, Fairly jukes around him and plows Opie into the ground... Steen looked like his feet were in concrete on that play.

Any answer that isn't A. Cooper is wrong.

He is the one missing piece to this year's puzzle. A playmaker at WR.

Based on what everyone is saying though, it looks like Fred Ross could be that guy for us.

I'd pick Cooper. He would fit our biggest need.

Without considering our needs, I'd pick Yeldon. That guy is a freak beast. I think he's better than the last several Bama RBs and that's saying a lot.

I'd take Todd gurley of Georgia over yeldon.

Flab, wait til you see our new guy... Derrick Henry... 6-3, 245... 4.4 - 4.5 40YD... benches 360...

Holds the HS rushing record... played at a small school, though...

..for all the "cats," but this specific cat politetly requests you keep your Alabama bullshit on 6pack & keep it off this board.

Screw Alabama & screw every Alabama player. Why don't you go to an Auburn board & ask them which Bama player they would want? Because they would immediately cuss you out for being a troll.

I don't want crap from Alabama, except to see you get hammered again by the NCAA for all the implicit and explicit cheating you do.

Everyone can speak for themselves, but I like TUSK being here...

He gives a valid opposing viewpoint and never really tries to start drama or engage in that type of BS(that I've seen anyway)...

Also pretty clear that he follows MSU pretty closely witihout actually being invested and gives unbiased reviews of what he sees. That's rare as hell for us...since 99% of what we read or see about our team is agenda-driven one way or another.
