And hitting up Perk the most.

Currently have the #1 Juco Guy committed D'haquille Williams 5*WR from MGCCC. #9 Juco Derrick Moncrief 4* Safety and #23 Juco Devaroe Lawrence 4* DT. They're also leading for 3 other top 10 Juco prospects for 2014.

I know we use the Juco route to fill needed holes, but it seems like Auburn is up to something.

Side topic I discovered while monitoring Auburn's targets.....

After looking through the top recruits, HS and Juco, it appears that OM offers are just like candy on Halloween. Using the cast net approach. Those who get caught, get approached by the OM faithful, and some will eventually take the bait($). If you send out offers and get 100 of the top 300 to visit, you can rest assure 5-15 will take some $ to help momma out and suck it up, by going to a shitty program at a racist school. Makes sense to me.

That's sign #1 that they aren't as 'talented' as some would like to think.

Freeze freely admits this. There was an article about it last year.

That tells me auburn may not have the talent everyone thinks. Gus thinks they need immediate help

My thought exactly

That's been my thoughts on Auburn all along...they have had so damn much attrition, no way they can be overly-talented.

Gus will do a solid job and so will EJ- but we should be able to get that game this year

I've been thinking like that about LSU, but is seems nobody else is. Didn't they lose 10 JRs to the NFL? I don't know how many SRs they lost, but it seems they had a hell of a lot of attrition.

I don't think LSU will be bad. I don't see them being elite either.

LSU may drop back a tad, but they have so damn much talent it's still sick- they will just be young on D

Herbstreit predicts they'll still be good, and he's typically right.

I still don't think you can lose that many Jrs. to the draft and reload. Srs, sure. But not two damn classes worth. I do hate that Mettenburger is back.

I think they're gonna really step it up on the offensive side of the ball this season. On defense they have supreme talent with chavis and les miles, they'll be fine. I really want to beat these guys bc my brother-in-law is big lsu guy and I hear about it all the time, but I have serious doubts.

I think our D will cause a lot of turnovers in the Aub game... I don't believe Aub will be that improved that much this year... Sure they will be better, but they were really down last year.

I think everyone sees them as being better on offense this year. Didn't lose much on that side. It was the defensive side where they lost alot(and it was already MUCH more pedestrian last year than it had been in the past -- but they were pretty injured). This is their current depth chart... I report, you decide...

DE 98 Jordan Allen | 6-6, 252(4* 2010)
94 Danielle Hunter | 6-5, 235(4* 2012)

DE 59 Jermauria Rasco | 6-3, 255(4* 2011)
22 Ronnie Feist | 6-2, 225(4* 2012)

DT 9 Ego Ferguson | 6-3, 308(4* 2010)
91 C. LaCouture | 6-5, 290(4* 2013)

DT 90 Anthony Johnson | 6-3, 310(5* 2011)
95 Quentin Thomas | 6-3, 279(3* 2011)

LB 58 Tahj Jones | 6-2, 205(3* 2009)
25 Kwon Alexander | 6-2, 220(4* 2012)

LB 57 Lamin Barrow | 6-2, 229(3* 2009)
35 Lorenzo Phillips | 6-2, 200(4* 2012)

LB 31 D.J. Welter | 6-0, 226(3* 2010)
23 Lamar Louis | 6-0, 220(4* 2012)

CB 32 Jalen Collins | 6-1, 184(3* 2011)
19 Derrick Raymond | 6-0, 175(4* 2012)

CB 36 Jalen Mills | 6-0, 180(3* 2012)
13 Dwayne Thomas | 6-0, 175(4* 2012)

S 6 Craig Loston | 6-2, 205(5* 2009)
12 Corey Thompson | 6-2, 210(4* 2012)

S 26 Ronald Martin | 6-1, 199(3* 2011)
43 J. Sandolph | 6-2, 180(3* 2012)

I thought Dee Ford was back at DE? I don't see Whitehead either, where did you get that depth chart?

ETA: Ok, nevermind. That's LSU's depth chart, I thought it was Auburn's. My b.

front seven should still be good and fundamentally sound which should help offset the secondary woes, should they have any. The DL could be sick.

I don't think any of us expected Collins to play this quickly, and he's been pretty dependable. Another lost player in the world of recruiting stars.

What's the world coming to? LSU having to start a pair of 3-star CB's?

Good thing we got some big WRs because those are some good sized DBs..
