Just saw a tweet where Dak weighed in at the SR Bowl

Said he was 6'2" 226 with 9 7/8 inch hands. Not sure what the hand measurement means.

That's a good size man. Not nearly as short as some believed.

Yep 6'2 1/4" if we want to be exact. Very solid.

No doubt. That's big for him

His size was a big question

I remember reading Russell Wilson had big hands one time. Found this online...

The average N.F.L. hand size for a quarterback is now 9.6 inches, he said. “Some of the top 'short' quarterbacks (6-2 or shorter) of the past decade have ridiculously large hands — Drew Brees (10.25 inches), Russell Wilson (10.25 inches), Brett Favre (10.38 inches),” he wrote.May 8, 2014

Wasn't there a poster on here who always questioned Dak's height and repeatedly stated that Dak would measure at 6' even at the Senior Bowl/Combine?

I wonder if it was by design to lose weight? Hasn't he always been around 240?

Probably. You want to look the part if possible.

Yeah, about a year ago there was a long thread on it. Someone was adamant that he was only 6'0.

With all the comparisons he has had to Scam and giving the season Scam has had, I would have thought he would have maintained his weight. When it comes to preparation, do the agents call the shots?

None of the NFL people have compared Dak to Cam. They aren't similar at all.

Yea I remember that thread. And I am pretty sure that it was the same guy claiming he is 5'-11" in this thread.

Agree. Dak will have to sell himself as a McNabb type QB that as passer 1st with some mobility.

I was talking about the college commentators doing the comparisons during games. If I said/implied similar it was not my intention. I don't have a clue what the NFL people are saying. I'm interested to see how he gets used at the next level.

There was a heated debate on here last August about whether Dak had lost weight during the off-season. There was a general consensus that he at least looked slimmer. The summer camp roster listed him at 230.

Ok, well that makes more sense and not as much of a change than I had originally thought.

Those hands are about average, maybe slightly larger. Those are definitely good measurements for him all the way around.

And yes, Political Hack is the one who was adamant that Dak is 6'0" even, if not closer to 5'11". Whoops.

I think this is huge. I for one thought he'd be shorter and it would be an issue.

Huge hurdle crossed IMO .

I assume now he'll run a 4.4.

Haha, that would be a big help.....

What is he expected to run? I would guess somewhere in the neighborhood of a 4.7 or so.....

I am 5'-9" and I look down to Dak. Guy must be around 5'7" with cleats on on the pavement.*****

That's my guess as well. I wouldn't be surprised by anything between 4.65 and 4.75. I'd be pretty surprised with anything outside that range by much.

Really Clark?

Shoot, I'm the same height, weight, and hand size as Dak. Too bad I'm fat, slow, uncoordinated, and half way to old.

Seemed like most QB chatter was about Wentz but Dak apparently had a good day.

What Mullen has done with Dak is nothing short of amazing. Say what you want about Mullen but that MoFo can develop QBs!

North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz did nothing Tuesday morning to detract from the projections that have him going in the Top 10 of April's NFL, measuring in at 6-foot-5 ? and 233 pounds, with 10-inch hands larger than all but a few linemen who will play in Saturday's game. Wentz and Coker towered over the other quarterbacks: Arkansas' Brandon Allen (6-1 ?, 212), North Carolina State's Jacoby Brissett (6-3 ?, 236), Mississippi State's Dak Prescott (6-2, 236), Louisiana Tech's Jeff Driskel (6-3 ?, 230), Stanford's Kevin Hogan (6-3 ?, 217) and USC's Cody Kessler (6-feet ?, 224).
