I have heard the position may not matter. As long as he can recruit

I like that. We can get a good GA to help T-Buck with the Secondary to keep them all together. The GA can run one group thru drills as T-Buck teaches to the other group and vice-versa

Get us a Crooter that can coach anything

Speaking of Melvin. Is he available? I always thought he was a pretty good corners coach. He left us for auburn a few years ago if I remember right

I know you usually speak from a shroud of mystery with short statements. In fact, it lends to your credibility (I know a lot, but can only share a little. I say that with no disrespect and always look forward to your input. Question, why would Melvin not come back and why would no one be upset. We had some pretty good CBs under Melvin's tutelage and he was arguably our best instate recruiter. I understand if you can't expand on this. I'm just interested.

And believe it or not, they were damn good..... because they had talent. Not because of the drills I learned on my 1st day or our 5 minute a day film study.

Bring in the talent at CB, and anybody who can halfway relate to people and teach, could coach them after attending a one day coaching clinic on coaching CB's

Me too. It let me keep coaching and move to QB's. Where you REALLY have to coach.

And you really think Hughes can be a HC but NOT coach corners?

Guys I really like Melvin. I remember him being a really nice guy. My son loved him in the little bulldog camps. I know that he was coach Mullen's favorite. I thought the players like him. Banks told my brother that he was hurt that Dan wouldn't let Melvin go to the Thorpe awards. So maybe there was a dislike. I thought he was a good coach and parents liked him. I know he loved coaching at MSU. I really hope it was a conflict of personality or philosphy and not Melvin's coaching ability. I'm glad he's still getting to coach.

I want another ex- D-1 player hired that can recruit. Gimme some white SS that overachieved as a player or another guy like T-Buck thats had success and laid it on the line week after week that can transfer his knowledge while making the guys believers. I dont want some no-name guy that played D-II ball in Wisconsin or some shit. I want an SEC guy. Someone that brings value.
