I will be traveling to Starkville this weekend and will be there a little into next week. Does anyone know of any good places to get crawfish in Starkville or if anyone has been selling them already?

About me: A long time reader and first time poster. Third generation MSU alumni. Currently out of Huntsville, AL. The desire to find out leads to yummy crawfish convinced me to create an account.

Due to the warm season so far, they have been unusually early this year. Or else you would be right. I was in Hattiesburg last weekend and they had several places selling crawfish... but unfortunately I didn't have time to get any. They might not have made it as far north as Starkville, but figured it was worth a shot.

Last Friday, Rosey Baby's had all you can eat crawfish for $19.99 or a single platter (~2lbs) for $9.99. They were a little small but not too bad.

Last time I ate crawfish at RB, they were all very small, and their guts were black. I wouldn't recommend eating crayfish out of season, personally. However, during the summer, RB is about as good as it gets, in Starkville at least.

My guess would've been rosey baby or little dooeys- don't they usually have crawfish?

Man, crawfish sounds good. I think Brewski's does.

Is Rosey Baby doing the all you can eat crawfish anymore?

Rosey's doing $20 all you can eat. Brother hits it weekly. Had a couple of excellent experiences with fresh crawfish and quick service. Followed by one experience how I remembered it being -- where they basically wait you out of interest bringing a plate and making you wait 20 minutes between finishing that plate and getting the next plate. Said it was pretty obvious some of those had been frozen.

75% hit rate is still worth the gamble at $20 all you can eat. That's the best deal anywhere on them right now if you really eat them. Of course, they make it back when you end up spending $50 drinking in there.

Damn, y'all are making me jealous. One of the few things I hate about living here is that crawfish are almost impossible to get. Usually during March there is 1 local seafood market that has live crawfish and I get in 1 or 2 boils.

I don't think Brewski's or Little Dooey's are doing crawfish right now so RB may be your only bet

By far the best was "The Rubba Boot" on 82 by Sonic but was only open for 1 season (Spring '14) it was $20 for 2 lbs with 2 corncobs and 2 red potatoes. LFL dream come true

All other crawfish was simply boing and bland. ESPECIALLY LITTLE DOOEYS

Im a 2015 grad.

It is crawfish season and as other's said the weather has helped. Right now the crawfish are more than likely going to be small, but I had a good experience at Little Dooeys, last season. I haven't seen them advertise yet but doesn't mean they haven't and I missed it.
