6 incoming,
4 sophs if Malik comes back
Strugg, Ready...

As of right now, there is one opening. But Ready and Malik is either/or, opening room for a second. Strugg would make 3.

My intuition tells me we take a power forward and a best available player, possibly a transfer. We sit on scholly #13 for the next class, when I suspect we take 3 or 4, but at which time the numbers get really fuzzy...

You are probably dead on.

I had the opportunity to chat with one of the assistants before the KY game. I took away - 1 high school player with size and 1 other. Possibly a free agent senior to fill a maturity need. My impression was a Shane Power if available.

Yes, and we will have room for a couple more. Look for us to aim high and go for some nationally elite players. We will only have those two spots open, so the staff can afford to be selective.

I'd love a Shane Power type but he was honorable mention All-Big 12 as a freshman so it won't be easy. Maybe Howland can look at the Australian sports academy school that keeps placing players at Gonzaga and St. Mary's. The basketball talent in Australia is exploding right now.

My question is --- as much as we absolutely love this class --- the seniority/maturity balance on our team is going to be off and difficult to fix. I understand that we needed to fix the roster quickly and this is just a bi-product of that. But this is more a statement for the crowd that will get angry at Howland if we aren't top 10 in recruiting in years where we can only take 2-3 guys. It will take 3 or 4 years to build decent class balance -- and with it -- decent consistency..
