Im not sure how that got started, you have to be injured two years and redshirt both years due to injury.

He redshirted his first year, not due to an injury but just because we redshirt most freshman OL.

I was always confused to how he'd get one but that's been in circulation for whatever reason.

The way it would work is that they would say he redshirted his freshman year due to injury, not due to being a freshman. You have to provide documentation for that, but that can **Cough** be provided **Cough**.
