Give it a grade.

I'm giving it a B - a little worried about the lack of experience but encouraged to see Mullen swinging for the fences

I gave him an A. No blown coverages, hasn't given up any big plays. Hasn't bent, hasn't broke. He is the greatest thing since the second string QB in my book.**** Ask me again in November.

B here too. Only lack of DC experience kept it from being an A. West coast ties, great recruiter, young and energetic, NFL experience as a player and prior coaching experience at multiple P5 schools are all pluses.

In terms of what was reasonably available to us I'm going with A.

I wanted O and I'm even more cautiously optimistic about this guy.

With the info at hand, this is an average hire at this point so C.

I give it a D. This reeks of a yes man hire to me. We are in the best division in college football, were number 1 in the country last year and all we can do is hire a LB coach with NO DC experience? give me a freaking break. Dude may turn out to be great, but on paper it just doesnt look good to me.

Gave it a B cause I don't know any better. I've heard some good things, especially about recruiting. But, he is coming from USC, which like Alabama, FSU, LSU, etc... really doesn't mean a whole lot to recruit well there.

Let's put this up again next December.

I'd say A given the money we spend. We needed an young energetic guy that knows LBs and recruiting. Boxes checked.

I'd say C for an SEC team. There is upside, but there are unknowns in game prep and management.

Money gets you a known commodity. Tighter budgets make you gamble. Not bitching - it is what it is.

Exactly. We can't grade a test that hasn't been given.

I give it a B, I kinda feel like Mullen was caught off guard with Manny leaving. I think he was like us and thought Manny would stay around for a while this time. So given the circumstances I am satisfied with the hire but wouldn't grade it as a homerun.

I voted "A" based on upside, and pedigree. This is like signing a upper 4* guy, to me. I was expecting us to sign a upper 3* JUCO.
