Oklahoma is a decent team.
Ole Miss expects to be a top 25 team that could host although there are unknowns for them.
Florida Atlantic final RPI of 17 last year and finished ranked.
Memphis is a decent team.
South Alabama is always pretty good.
Oral Roberts won over 40 games last year and finished with a top 40 RPI.
Southern Miss is always pretty good.
Missouri is going to be much improved this year.
Troy is always a challenge.
Auburn is in a really good place as a program.
Nichols State is pretty decent as well.

Basically -- in the entire 56 game schedule -- we've got about 9 gimmes this year. We played 9 gimmes in a row to start off last season.

So why are people so high on our team this year? After last year it's hard for me to think we'd jump to be a top 15 team.

We were the #1 team in the country in summer league contributions. Literally. We've got 5 junior/senior pitchers that will go in the top 10 rounds. One of the best recruiting classes in the country. Last year was the anomaly not the reality. That team was a lot more talented than final record showed.

It's not based on what we did last season nearly as much as what happened this summer and what scouts saw in the fall. As has been said, we likely had the most impressive summer in college baseball from a collective personnel standpoint- and scouts who saw our scrimmages a few months ago have been telling these writers that we are one of the most talented teams in all of the southeast.

I don't think anyone who closely follows college baseball believes that we were a 24-30 quality team from a talent perspective. Not even close.

Good news is as long as we have a winning record we WILL be in a regional. Our RPI should be through the roof.
