2. Kobe Jones: Jones looked a little shorter than his listed height of 6-foot-4, but he did a great job using his hands and hips to get into gaps and quickly upfield. Jones moves like a linebacker playing defensive line.

Official visits are set to Alabama, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss, and of those programs will get a quick defensive lineman who terrorized the East offensive lineman on the first day of practice for the Semper Fi Bowl.


4. C.J. Morgan Walker: Morgan-Walker looked very comfortable early on during drills, and the coaches felt comfortable enough to leave the Mississippi State commitment out in man coverage for most of the day. He was rarely caught off-balance by a route and was able to jump a few routes because he could anticipate what the quarterback was going to do based on the wide receiver. Could learn to be more physical in coverage within the rules, but as it stands, the Bulldogs commitment has the look of a savvy cover-corner with upside.

With our cornerback situation, I think that's conceivable. Same with Knott if we land him too.

Just a guess but down the road I wouldn't be surprised if we move Chris Stamps to safety and he's a good player too.

What a game by Morgan-Walker so far! Go to the 11:10 mark in the 4th quarter and watch him. He absolutely crushed the WR on the swing pass...hit of the game. Next play, he defends the deep ball to perfection in one-on-one coverage.

I am really really liking this kid. He's a big corner and doesn't mind hitting people...but most importantly has been locked up one-on-one all night and has looked great in coverage. He may end up the steal of this class.

Kobe Jones is quick as shit at DT...but he over pursues a lot and runs himself out of the play. If he can learn not to over pursue, he'll be a beast bc he beats his man damn near every play. He has lived in the backfield tonight.

That's huge. I think he, smitherman, and stamps could be an infusion of talent next season. Is stamps expected to contribute next season?
