UNM went from #1 to bottom half of the league this. Turned down Auburn job supposedly. I posted before the season that I thought UNM defense would go down this year without him.

I think Allen would be a great hire. And he might even improve our special teams some too. Plus Ole Miss has an attacking defense. I'll be interested to see if Allen implements some of that with is if he was hired.

This is what I was wondering about. How close are Allen and Freeze? I know Allen was also with him at Arky State and Lambuth. I guess it really doesn't matter since Freeze talks on the phone with our defensive lineman. He may as well talk with our defensive coordinator.

If you cherry pick one game nobody will look that great in your eyes, especially a bowl game. They held FSU to 34 points, Memphis to 24, ranked Temple to 23, and the bowl game was back and forth against one of the best offenses in the country. In Allen's first year.
