"River stage predictions

Flood stage at the Memphis gauge is 34 feet, and the river is predicted to reach that level Saturday. Areas closed at that level will include DeSoto, Tunica and Coahoma counties west of U.S. 61 and north of U.S. 49.

More closures will occur when the Helena, Arkansas, gauge is at 41 feet, and the river is predicted to reach that level on Sunday. Areas closed will be Coahoma, Bolivar and Washington counties south of U.S. 49, west of U.S. 61 to the intersection of U.S. 61 and Mississippi 444, west of Mississippi 1, and north of U.S. 82.

The river is predicted to reach 48 feet at the Greenville gauge on Saturday and will close hunting in Washington and Issaquena counties south of U.S. 82, west of Mississippi 1, and north of Mississippi 14.

At the Vicksburg gauge, the river is predicted to reach 43 feet on Sunday or Monday and will close hunting seasons in Issaquena, Sharkey and Warren counties south of Mississippi 14, west of U.S. 61 and north of the Big Black River.

Until conditions improve, MDWFP stated it will be illegal to take, catch or kill or attempt to take, catch or kill any wild bird or wild animal with the exception of waterfowl."

It looks like this afternoon will be the last I hunt I get out of my lease this year. I understand their decision, but between the drought we had at the beginning of the season and now this, my season has been poor.
