pretty simple. No question they had more elite talent than we did. In addition, their play calling is MUCH better than ours. Dan would've done the obvious and ran Dak right up the gut there before half. We have to recruit better and do whatever it takes. In addition, Dan needs to swallow his pride and hire someone to call plays. Not sure that will happen. He's never going to be satisfied unless he has complete control.

Hey, wait a minute. Didn't we outscore them and win the second half of the Egg Bowl?

Our team speed wasn't very good this year IMO.

Hate to see the bad guys win tonight, but at least we made a little cash off of it, or at least I did. Just got to tip the cap to them this year. They were a better team. Here's to next year. Never know what could happen. This time next year we could be in NOLA celebrating a victory. Only 8 months until kickoff. Trust Mullen and his system. Hail State and here's to a great year to us all.

Last year we had a senior lead team won 10 games and set offensive records with Mullen calling the plays. This year they won 10 games had a senior team and performed well offensively. Key is having a good experienced team. We are a sorry group of spoiled fans for no real reason. We have won 19 games in two years which hasn't been done before here. We have 7 nine win seasons at MSU and Mullen has 3 of them. They literally have paid millions to win 19 games the last two years. Either pony up the money or shut the hell up because unless you won't to pay like they do, then you aren't all in and have no real reason to complain at the results.

They also played without several key people last night. Don't like saying it but there is a big talent gap right now

I may avoid this board next football season. We're going to lose a few games and our youth is going to show in key positions (qb, rb, db, and dl).

Freeze does a good job for going for the jugular and putting the game away as quickly as possible.

Now, the goodnews is that they are losing 8-9 starters on both offense and defense.

With Kelly losing 4 out of his 5 OL including tunsil, and with treadwell leaving, hopefully Kelly also leaves. His stock won't get any higher next year.

They won the Egg. We would all be wary of our potential shortcomings but nobody would be slitting wrists had we won that game.

correct because we would have been in the Sugar and beat them, but since they did and also beat Bama and LSU for the second time in a row people are flipping out. Next year we'll see if if it's legitimate or not.

People like to give Bucky grief, but he did one thing last night that stood out to me. He made sure every one of his high profile players got a touchdown. Had Kimchee been there, you can bet a play would have been drawn up for him too. Bucky can take this footage and show it to big time recruits and say "This could be you, on one of the biggest stages, scoring touchdowns." He made sure he showcased those players in the national spotlight.
