8 ACC games, 2 mid majors, 1 cupcake, 1 P5 - We'd win 10 a year.

Clemson may be the real deal but after seeing Duke, UNC and NC State, if I'm Oklahoma I'm licking my chops.

Just ask Ole Miss. Archie & gang never played Alabama, Auburn, or Florida. And the SEC office let them trade a SEC game for a non-conf game so they could get more wins.

Really Clark?

They did avoid Auburn and Florida every regular season while Archie was there, although they lost to Auburn in the Gator Bowl. But they played Bama every year while he was QB.

All you have to know about the ACC is that they suck so bad GA Tech is a regular contender for the title.

I don't like playing ACC or Big 12 teams. Just don't and never will. Thats why I hate playin A&M. It's just like playing a Big 12 team. I wish we would have more pac 12 and big 10 match ups. We do get Arizona in a few years but I think NC State comes on schedule before Arizona.

Yeah he did. But the previous post was about Archie's years. They played Bama every year Archie started.

No doubt he worked his way around having to play Bama. Ridiculous how things were back then.

There's a reference book in the library where I teach that covers all the records and stats of every college team thru the late 1990's. It has an opening passage about every team's best years and Coach. The passage points out that although Vaught brought the glory yrs at UM, they seldom played Alabama and several other of the stronger teams in these years. I asked an UM fan about it and he informed me that Bear Bryant wouldn't play them. Spin, repeat, spin. The book was printed by Sports Illustrated.
