I mean WTF? Why do people say this about us?

What about Boykin, Kyle Allen, Chad Kelly, etc?

David Pollack: "Dak Prescott could've been in the National Title picture with a different team and different talent."

We really need Fitz to succeed next year to prove a point

It's funny people say that and not, "If Leonard Fournette came to MSU, he could've been apart of the national title picture."

Seriously, what if MSU had Fournette?

I don't get the argument & it's just a sign that people can't wrap their minds around teams other than traditional power competing and having good players

It is true....why even try and deny it? Don't take it personally...there have been plenty of players that could have been said about over the years.

Same could be said for Treadwell.

If only Kimchee, Tunsil, & Treadwell attended Bama, they could've been in the national championship picture,

We were a Derek sherrod type LT away from being in playoff last year and 10 wins this year imo

Dak would have been like the past three QB's at LSU.

We needed more than 1 OL guy last year to get in the playoff. Bama and OM raped our entire OL

He would have nowhere to run because our line sucks!

David Pollock played at UGA from 2001-2004. Look at our record those years and then ask yourself if that would skew someone's perspective of MSU.

Disagree. Fournette would have been awesome in our offense.

Remember, he has no QB at LSU and faces 9 guys in the box repeatedly. He would have made our offensive line look far better.

Our OL is below average, but it's compounded by poor running back play as well.

Yes, but some seemed to enjoy it more than others.

We're the only team in D1 that gets picked on for having little to no talent in the media. Despite recruiting top 20-30 most years out of 130 something programs. They love us.

When MSU starts getting football alumni announcing games we won't get so disrespected by the media. We have a couple in basketball but almost none in football.

First, you could say that about a lot of QBs not currently in the CFP. And yes, Dak did most everything this year for our offense because our OL could only pass block and could not run block (for whatever reason). However, nobody knows what type of QB Dak ends up being if he is not tutored by Dan Mullen. I bet if he had been coached by Les Miles and that joke of a staff in QB development he would have just been an average SEC QB at best.

Exactly!

If we had Fournette.... We would have beaten LSU and ATM....not sure about Bama and old Mrs.

I swear WHEN we win a national title we have fans that will be pissed because we gave up too many points doing it or the AP vote wasn't unanimous. Enjoy the moment people. 9 wins doesn't happen that often here, yet.

Well Pollack is correct, but you can say that about most everyone. If Marcus Mariota and TJ Yeldon has played for Ohio State, they could have won a natty last year. If Ezekial Elliott played on a different team with different talent, he could be playing for a championship this year.

Yeah, he could have gone to LSU and blocked for LF7. Been a great FB or TE.

No they didnt. We ran into the teeth of both teams strengths. We needed a coach with a better sense of strategy.

He would have been a TE... I don't even know why this is even an argument. It's comparing Apple to oranges... Could he have developed else where? Yes... Would he have been given the chance? No... End of discussion.

Totally off base. Last year we out-gained Bama on the ground, and only gave up one sack.

Their punter killed us, Dak throws 3 picks and we let Blake Sims run for 2 first downs on 3rd and long.

This year? Yeah, Bama raped our O-line.

Last year's team with this year's schedule more than likely makes the playoffs. Either way, 2 great years.

And we still got a lot of yards on them this year with our awful o-line.

Everyone agrees that our o-line must get better to get to the next level.

Talking about this year? Yeah.

Last year was on Dan, Dak and the defense. Could an all-world O-line have helped last year? Sure, but so would a Leonard Fournette and a Fred Smoot. Saying the O-line was the weak link last year is just wrong.

I agree that Mississippi State gets picked on by the SEC even more than Kentucky and Vanderbilt. We have a much brighter recent history but people clown us like we have been and always will be a dumpster fire which isn't true. All that being said at least we didn't get called North DAKota State in our own state.
