Someone link the article if you want but it is so full of BS from start to finish and I just found it odd. The headline basically states he does not have the desire to jump to NFL earlier, despite being a sure top half first round pick, because he loves OM so much. He goes on to say how this year has made him hungrier to come back and win that SEC championship that he came to OM for.

It talks about why he chose OM in the first place and how great the school is, but then says they just need a few more top recruits to come to OM and realize they can be "different" and win a championship. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but IMO thought it was some type of marketing/hype/love fest article.

It's probably plagiarism & wasn't even written by him. Ha.

I should have included, "I know it's the CL and they love OM", but it is just so cheesy and full of BS it's sickening.

This is one of several reasons why the CL has plummeted over the last 10 years. It's turned into a high school news paper.

Treadwell is just doing what most top guys do. Talk about how it's a tough decision & they want to stay all the way up until they declare. He's not coming back but it serves no purpose to announce he's leaving before the game.

Why are people surprised when a guy speaks highly of the school he is at? Hasn't Dak done the same thing over the years? Some people spend way too much time obsessing about OM. We play in a bowl game tomorrow night. Maybe dig up some shit on NC State or something. Damn man.

I don't know if part of me is envious the way they "run" their marketing but to have him still playing his part and recruiting for OM to fulfill his contract is a little much from what I see. If anyone believes any of what he is saying, then more power to them.

What's he supposed to say? He's doing the coach speak of "it's a hard decision" blah blah.

Here's the questions he is asking himself.

1.Do I improve my stock coming back?
2.What if I get hurt coming back?
3.How does the rookie contract effect my pay over the next six years and should I get it started and out of the way while I am younger?

He is not coming back.

Yep, can't blame him. He may have to take a pay cut to go to the NFL so why wouldn't he love it at OM. I'll be waiting for a similar article on how torn Chris Jones is in his decision.

Treadwell is the one guy in that class who legitimately loves Ole Miss. As much as I hate the school, he is the one guy who I can respect. Especially after the Auburn game last year. He is the guy who would come back if any of them did. None of the others would of put their bodies on the line like he did in that Auburn game.

Now, over/under on how long before someone accuses me of being a Bear.

I don't think anybody's going to argue with you...the problem is, had there not been lots (and LOTS) of "impermissible benefits" during his recruitment, he would've never even dreamed of going to om...to subsequently fall in love

I agree. He would of never gone. That post was to the people who couldn't believe he actually loves Ole Miss and is all marketing. I was more so saying that what he is saying is pretty genuine. Now if Tunsil or one of the Knemdeches said it I would call bullshit.
