I have the whole week off so today me and a buddy of mine are gonna be storm chasing. I got into it early 2015 but we haven't really had any real major storms so I'm excited. We will be in the central to east part of Alabama and possibly north depending on the storms. Anybody in this area that wants to keep up, we will provide all the info we can. I'll even try and post pictures from my phone if it so allows me.

Be extremely careful. This is an extremely dangerous system to chase if you're inexperienced.

I actually am a rookie but my buddy is very experienced. He owns his own video/audio store so has always been able to chase the storms. I've always worked for somebody so naturally, I don't have the off days....

We are north of Tuscaloosa headed up HWY 171 almost to Fayette right now. Gonna try and catch the storm as it crosses into Alabama.

If you need sanctuary from the storm, stop in; I just reinforced the anchors on my trailer house / methlab.

Haha! We are sitting at the Hamilton exit off of I22 trying to determine where to head next.

Be extremely careful chasing at night... especially where you are with all the trees.

We haven't left New Albany. I think we are calling it for the night. Maybe go back behind the storm and help out anybody.

I'm curious...Why chase something that can kill you for free?

Confirmed tornado in Tuscaloosa county. Saw the pic on Twitter.

This one hasn't touched down yet but there is for sure rotation. It is moving very slow. About 20mph.

It died down. Still a threat but looks like they will not extend the warning.
