Surprising, since Smoltz didn't seem all that good at broadcasting during Braves games. not Tim McCarver bad by any means, but not that good.

I'm glad verducci is out. He brings zero. I actually liked Reynolds but I think smoltz is a definite step up. I have been hoping for a while that the braves would can chip caray and let smoltz and Simpson call the games...I think Simpson does a good play-by-play...but I guess that's out now.

Fox baseball broadcast will continue to suffer as long as joe buck calls the games. He's good at football but lacks general knowledge in baseball. That's what made it so insufferable with mccarver; neither had a damn clue.
