Might as well get it on out there: my sources say Mullen is a candidate for replacement.

I think it's a good idea to get rid of Sumlin now before things get worse personally.

Sumlin comes with a nice $20mil buyout price tag. They better make damn sure they want to fire him.

Course it may be inevitable. With no QB I could see them really struggling next year and that would prolly be the final nail in the coffin anyway so may be better off to just cut ties now. Course, that would prolly kill recruiting too.

How much do they stand to lose if they keep him?

Don't see $$$$$ getting in the way of getting rid of Sumlin, if that is what they decide to do. A&M has more money than God.

Sounds like Sumlin has never been in control. From day 1 his QBs have done whatever the hell they wanted.

And I thought LSU handled the Miles situation horribly.... What a dumpster fire..

My brother in law (A&M Alum) told me before the season started that Sumlin needed to get it done or get out. They have spent like 500Mil on the stadium, have lots of 5* athletes, yet can't seem to get it done. To me that lands on the coaches. And by the way $20Mill to A&M is about $2 Mil to us.

If you don't know who chip brown is and that he does have some credibility... You should back away from the computer....

Chip Brown could possibly have an agenda, wouldn't you say?

I agree with the dumpster fire analysis. I woukd add this is the year, this QB is definitely the next JFF, early wins on way to title and Heisman, finish 8-4 with off field issues. Rinse. Repeat. Every. Year.

And why does Sumlin always look at you with a micro expression like he's got naked pics of your wife and daughter?

Really Clark?

This may be the final straw. Hearing Kyle Field is considering transferring away from A & M as well. Not good as a coach to lose his stadium as well.***

With the Murray situation, rumor on this, Murray's dad was trying to push Sumlin to fire his OC for a better fit for his son. Sumlin said no, come what may. If that is try, then I don't blame Sumlin at all.

When was A&M ever even considered a big boy? They floundered in the horrible Big 12 for decades. Yes they have facilities and yes they have money. But one thing most over look that comes with that $$$ is a lot of Chiefs and very few Indians. This is why they have been irrelevant for a long time now. On top of this, they will always continue to have a soft, small big 12 defense as long as they cannot pull SEC defensive caliber players fro. Louisiana east. Texas high school football is much different than Southern high school football and a 4-5* Texas defensive player doesn't translate into a productive SEC type player. They for the big 12. Been saying this since they entered the league and said they would remain middle of the pack for these reasons. Even said this even everyone was drooling all over them.
