I got ridiculed when Clark retired for saying he should be a candidate for the Hall. If Kirby & Sandberg are in, how the hell is Clark not even on the ballot? And don't give me the difference between positions garbage.

Will and Raffo are State Baseball, like Baily Howell is Basketball, and D.D. Lewis, Jackie Parker, Johnny Cooks, Shorty McWilliams, and now Dak are football

Clark was my childhood hero. Maybe I'm a bit partial, but there was really nobody bigger from the mid 80s to the early 90s. He wasn't the most likable person, but he played the game with intensity and respect. It's been interesting to see him gaining recognition here in the last few years, part of it due to him being able to emerge from the steroid era with a clean record. When you look at other guys from that era, he was as good or better than many of them. In fact, he is right there in the average HOF hitting stats in most major categories.

Shouldn't homering your first major league at bat against Nolan Ryan get you in alone?
