Maybe not new, but I can't wait to see him, Justin Johnson, and d. Jones at te... Is Thomas a te or tackle?

That's a good question about Thomas. I bet we redshirt him and see how much weight he gains or loses and then go from there. I think Paul said we're looking at him as a TE for now at least.

I've heard some people say that Dontae Jones may be moved to DE.

With offers from Arkansas, Florida, Miami, Michigan and Michigan State amongst others. Or should we ignore the fact that all those coaches are on him and put all our stock on a subjective star rating given by some guy that works in a cubicle at 247?

Yeah, Roberson has some HUGE 5* that plays on his HS team with him that's committed to UGA

Would Dak had been better if he had two more stars coming out of High school?

Is this a guy that we're going to bulk up and use as blocking tightend? Or is he going to be a really athletic tight end that's almost a receiver?

That would be Julian Rochester - 6'5", 327 lbs, DL. McEachern has a dozen or so D1 prospects and commits on the roster.

If he would have had two more stars he wouldn't have played ball at MSU.

Athletic TE that is used as a receiver. I know one of the McEachern baseball coaches. He works "off the books" with the football team, mainly with the RBs (he is a McEachern alum, and played RB at Western Kentucky). His take was that he had been playing TE more because of their glut of receivers and that he wasn't a natural TE - but he had the size for TE and they wanted him on the field. When their #1 receiver got injured mid-way through the season, Roberson moved to the slot and his numbers shot up. With that size, he may be a Bear type possession receiver.

Why the hell would we move Dontae Jones to DE? That dude is a stud receiver. He can be Bear 2.0 with better hands! I understand we need DLine help but that's just wasting talent.

I haven't heard anything about jones going to de, but at last word he was a donut shy of 260. He's not going to ever play wr.

Dontea hasn't been a WR in a year.

How about start him right of to convert him to a LT? If athletic enought for TE, he prob has the feet, movement etc for LT.

Nah... This would actually require Hev to do some work and waste a potential offensive weapon.

Rankin looked the part yesterday. I may drive down there again today to check them out in pads. Rankin is a mean dude too. The red shirt might have done him some good.
