Seems mighty early for them to shoot the gun. I'd think any ground made up by them over the past week, with all their momentum, should be ground that we can retake between now & February.

This is what I want. I hope we're playing the game, but being safe about it. You know UMiss is figuring that State will perhaps get a little bold in recruiting this year, so I wouldn't put it past them to have some way to aquire evidence to hand over to the NCAA. Hopefully our guys are aware of this....and hopefully our guys could flip the tactic and get something on them.

I'm way the hell more worried about us not being able to play freshmen at RB, WR, LB, CB, and S. The vast majority of HS OL need a redshirt year because they got by being the biggest player on the field most of the time. They have to develop technique and strength. The skill guys, not so much. Plug and play, dammit.

Our rivals? We have more than one? Don't include Bama or anyone else except ole miss in that context to be more precise. Ole miss has played a te fr each of the last two years on the line, Taylor and Patterson. They are both talented and they will regret they didn't redshirt them both. I'm not defending our ol recruiting- one can't. But other than a cam Robinson of the world, all OL need to be redshirted. ALL!!!!
Eta, clausell, Day, Jackson, Jenkins, Malone all played as redshirts. We ****ed claybornes redshirt away. That will be regretted.

Clayborn played as a freshman didn't he? I seem to recall the reason for that being his strength, he had that day one and showed out very early which got him reps. Could be wrong though.

I get that. When you don't have players making plays, you don't have anybody. # of bodies doesn't matter and shouldn't be a factor beyond a certain point.

Not defending this OL, I'm frustrated and we need to see something from these guys. One good unit every 7 years isn't going to get it done.
