Houston won the AAC championship this weekend and when some of the fans rushed the field, they were met by CSC security. Several of the CSC security team slammed people to the ground and one took it as an opportunity to jump a guy when he was on the ground. He then proceeded to taunt the fan base as he walked away. He was lucky someone didn't whip his ass. It was so bad that U of H officials have removed CSC as their security team.

This obviously went too far, but it does make you wonder what exactly security firms and universities are supposed to do to stop 15,000+ people from rushing a football field.

UH and the security firm need to quickly and quietly make this go away.

The ACC might need to get some guards for their officials. I sure hope the Belk Bowl goes non ACC or SEC for the game.

I'd find our fans rushing the field for a Belk Bowl win more disturbing, honestly, lol.

You generally try to stop the first few with persuasion, pre endgame chats with those up front, and positioning yourself in the location most likely to have fence jumpers. Failing that, when there is just an unstoppable mass of humanity, you are supposed to help them get on the field safely to avoid injury. 100 powerless security folks can only do so much preventative work, so mitigation is the next best thing.

It's pretty simple. Let fans rush the field. Keep security around the coaches, players and refs.

Exactly. I just think it's a joke the NCAA holds the schools accountable with penalties and fees when there's nothing they can do about it without extreme measures.
